Did you hear the latest from United?

UnitedHealth announced last month a major shift from fee-for-service to value-based payments. You can read about their $43 billion exit from fee-for-service medicine here. This announcement emphasized that all major payers are moving from fee-for-service payments to “value” or “performance” arrangements, which are more lucrative for physicians. This is just the beginning of the impact of these shifts: chief executive Stephen Hemsley emphasized that UnitedHealth is “progressing these contracts into more sophisticated forms where [providers are] actually taking on even greater performance responsibility over time.”

Do you have a current strategy in place to succeed in both fee-for-service contracts and these new models? Make sure to check out Privia Medical Group to learn about their strategic partnerships aimed to increase reimbursements to independent physician practices for high quality care.
