Privia Medical Group – Mid-Atlantic was proud to celebrate our doctors in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region at our Annual Independent Physician Celebration on April 4, 2017.
Over 80 physicians across Maryland, D.C., and Virginia, along with the Privia team, came together at the beautiful Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland to celebrate the success of Mid-Atlantic physicians in advancing patient-centered care and succeeding in value-based care. The event included a cocktail reception, dinner, and networking.
Gene Ransom, CEO of The Maryland State Medical Society (MedChi), shared a few words on the accomplishments made by physicians in Maryland, and the partnership developed between Privia and MedChi to advocate for and support doctors in Maryland.
The event concluded with an engaging panel led by Dave Rothenberg, President of Privia Medical Group, that focused on the issues doctors currently face, including MACRA readiness and physician burnout. This panel included Clay Ackerly, CMO at Privia Medical Group, Dr. Fred Taweel, Physician at Internal Medicine Associates of Reston, and Dr. Shishir Khetan, Physician at Rockville Internal Medical Group.
“We are immensely proud of the accomplishments of our doctors in the Mid-Atlantic. We are partnering with 1,050 providers in this region who are committed to keeping people healthy, improving outcomes, and delivering high-value care in their communities. We look forward to seeing what our doctors will continue to accomplish in 2017,” said Dave Rothenberg.
Each of these physicians embodies, in their patient-centered and results-driven approach to clinical care, the mission of Privia Medical Group: changing healthcare to what it ought to be. Privia is committed to providing physicians with the supportive infrastructure that enables doctors and their teams to succeed under value-based care.
